AN ARTICLE ON LUNAR ECLIPSE TAKING PLACE ON 26TH JUNE 2010

A partial lunar eclipse will take place on June 26, 2010, the first to two lunar eclipses in 2010. It can be seen in most of the eastern side. It will begin at 15 : 47 & end at 18 : 30 & it's going to last exactly for 1 hour 21mintues & 54 seconds but penumbral will occur for 2 hours 24 minutes & 55 seconds. It will be visible after sunset from Australia, and eastern Asia. It will be seen before sunrise over Western, North and South America. It is visible in Australia, Nepal, Singapore, Malaysia, Western parts of USA and Canada etc.This eclipse is not visible in India. The major & full lunar eclipse is going to take place on 21st December 2010.

According to Vedic Astrology Moon will be travelling in Sagittarius (Dhanu) & on the day of eclipse it will be Moola nakshatra.On top of that 26 has always been very unlucky for our country for example disasters like 26th July 2005 & then 26/11/2008.Therefore, I am afraid to forecast another disaster to take place on the same day or within three weeks from 26th June 2010.

This lunar eclipse is falling on Saturday & it's Jayeshtha Poornima ( Full Moon day in Jayeshta month).The first evil is that the lunar eclipse is taking place on Saturday, the second evil is Moola nakshtra & the third evil is 2+6 = 26.So I keep my fingers crossed.

Pregnant ladies should not see the Moon that night. Though it can be seen only in those places where the Moon is visible like in Agartala, Assansole, Kishanganj, Tripura, Manipur & Orissa.

What do to ?

1. We should take a dip in Holy River & recite 'Om Namah Shivayeh' but should not visit temple. Even marriage & mundan ceremony should be avoided.

2. As per one's capacity or wish donate Wheat & Rice among the poors.
